A smell-a-like is a perfume that smells like a designer fragrance but with a different name and packaging, and at a cheaper price. A smell-a-like isn't an exact copy, but often smells very similar.

I let my friend have a spray of this and he said that it smells exactly like boss bottled
Comments:
To me, it's exactly the same perfume.
And lasts pretty long
PRESS REVIEW
Telegraph.co.uk (10 Oct 2012)
At first, when I sprayed my wrist, the X-Bolt was disappointingly innocuous. I was secretly hoping for some violent whiff of slurry to confirm my hunch that this was all a clever PR stunt.
But no, this was definitely a proper eau de toilette - and one determined not to offend.
Initially, the only scent I could detect was old-fashioned sweet shop: bonbons and barley sugar. Not entirely unpleasant. And then, the undertones started to seep into my nostrils. Frangipani and pears, a sort of poire clafoutis; then came vanilla, not quite the heady scent of Madagascan pods, slightly more the manufactured vanilla you get in an Ambi Pur plug-in air freshener; finally, an aroma of wood, which at a stretch might pass for sandalwood.
BLOGGER REVIEW
Bonkers about Perfume (23 Sep 2012)Hey, I have to say that once again I am very impressed. I don't know exactly what notes I am smelling, other than a vague luminously woody ambery quality and a slightly herbal facet, but I do detect a marked resemblance. The main difference seems to be that when you first spray Hugo Boss, it is soft and refined from the off (as men's designer scents go), whereas the Lidl scent is a little brash at the outset, but quickly settles down.

Hello. Well I like this one. I remember owning a small bottle of Hugo Boss Boss many years ago and this is how I remember it.
The bottle is well made, and the fragrance is a generic replica of Hugo Boss Boss. It is nearly a copy of the legendary fragrance.
A friend of mine a month ago leaned towards me. And started smelling my chest. And then she said: Oh which fragrance is it? Is it Hugo Boss? I started laughing and nodded.
She was enjoying the smell of fragrance for a good 30mins.
Only later after a few hours I said it was LIDL.
Yeah so you get the idea. My friend likes it, my mom likes it, my dad uses it as an aftershave and pretty much everyone else thinks it's expensive smelling.
It basically is Hugo Boss. I cannot imagine anyone else buying Hugo Boss when you have this cheap and nearly identical juice.
Have to buy more.
Comments:
Pretty similar but not an exact match. Has a more cloying sweetness than Boss does but most people are not likely to notice.

This does smell pretty similar to SpiceBomb, there are some differences but if you like SpiceBomb you will like this too. It's spicy, woody and sweet and quite long lasting for the price. It gets a big thumbs up from me.
Comments:
Tested in a scent's shop, identical to the original, but very cheap, 100ml less than 20€.
